Toffee to Go, the Oprah Winfrey-endorsed toffee shop in South Tampa, is opening a pop-up shop in Hyde Park Village for the holidays.

Toffee to Go has a storefront on Bay to Bay Boulevard in South Tampa; in 2014, the company bought a warehouse in Pinellas Park to expand its production.

The toffee shop shot to overnight stardom after Oprah included it in her 2013 "Favorite Things," an annual feature in O Magazine.

Pop-up retail is more commonly seen in transitioning neighborhoods that couldn't support full-time shops and restaurants. At Hyde Park Village — at this point an established retail center anchored by household names like West Elm, Anthropologie and Pottery Barn — it's more about another option for the holidays, a spokeswoman for the property said.

Hyde Park Village has landed a number of new permanent retailers and restaurants this year, among them Sur La Table, bartaco, Paper Source and Bluemercury.
